Daily Outfit: Sunday Cinema

Today I had a date with Mags for lunch and viewing The Dark Knight Rises. It is honestly the first time I have been to see a movie before 7:30 PM in... God, it's been so long I can't even tell you! It is a whole other world.

For a start, ordinarily I go exclusively to 9:30 PM showings because there is less likely to be children of any sort there, which means I am 90% likely to embarrass my friends by talking loudly about how people should learn to control their spawn. Secondly - as far as I am concerned, after 9:00 PM it is perfectly acceptable to be at a movie theatre in Sweat Pants.

I imagine some of you are actively recoiling from your screens now.

In any event, TDKR was a fantastic three hours of plot twists, action and super-hero porn. I have spent the entire afternoon since thinking about the likelihood of my being able to ever be half as pretty as Anne Hathaway. And having knife shoes. I doubt either are at all likely, but I can live in hope. I'm actually such a fan I'm thinking I'll take myself to see it again on Tuesday evening...

Today I just wanted something casual and easy ensemble wise. Of course, unwittingly, I picked the most poorly-fitting pair of Jeans I currently own instead of a nice slouchy pair, or my usual movie going uniform of Ugg Boots and Sweat pants. Don't judge me. Four-plus hours in these bad boys and I was just about ready to smack myself over the head.

In any event, today I wore:

navy merino wool Sweater - Share Broker, Etsy
orange cotton Polo Shirt - Trenery
black leather Belt - Jag
straight-leg 'Moto' Jeans - G-star Raw
dull brown suede Loafers - Raphael Steffens
(sunglasses - Prada; cologne - Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme)

Xx
