Daily Outfit: Orange Knits

A pop of bright orange against a sea of dark navy is clearly a winning combination in my book.

Today's outfit was accented by my gorgeous knit necktie and my wool arm warmers that my mother knitted for me a few years ago, both in a bright orange. I'm also wearing:

Navy wool tailored blazer – Rembrandt Sartorial, thrifted
Blue button-down shirt with white stripes – Vintage Brooks Brothers, ebay
Orange  wool mid-arm warmers – made by my mother
Orange polyester knit necktie – Uniqlo, Tokyo
Gold-tone tie-clip - gift
Brown leather belt - Sportscraft
Dark indigo wash Riley tapered jeans – G-star, ebay
Brown suede loafers – Raphael Steffens

I love the way that the arm warmers look under the blazer, even if it does remind me of the whole 'Derelict' campaign from Zoolander, and how ridiculous fashion can be. I'm also surprised at what a great job they did of regulating my body temperature throughout the day. I do wish, however, that I had listened to my mother and let her knit-in individual finger bits for these, rather than keeping them completely open. They look great, but my hands were freezing all day!
