Night two holds the theme of 'The Scientist', and I am really excited to see three of the five Menswear designers are in the program for tonight. I bumped into Pip and Tarun from Braddon Tailors last night while waiting for the show to start, and knowing that their collection was showing tonight I decided to go with something tailored and something in denim, a tribute to the ethos of their label.
I'm not really sure that this daily outfit I’m wearing matches tonight's theme of 'The Scientist', but I do feel like it goes with the overall spirit of Fashfest. I'm wearing:
Navy pinstriped wool blazer – Rembrandt Sartorial,
thrifted
Sterling silver molten open pendant necklace – Alicia Hannah Naomi
Blue slubby scoop-neck t-shirt - FCUK
Rococo printed scarves tied into a ‘vest’ – thrifted and assembled by me
Black leather belt – repurposed from wedding ensemble
Indigo wash Riley 3D tapered jeans – G-Star, from ebay
Blue leather boots – G-Star
Tibetan quartz crystal and silver cocktail ring – Alicia Hannah Naomi
Python skin clutch bag – David Mehler for DAME, vintage from etsy

I was playing around with scarves after Jiawa from Closet Voyage posted a video about tying scarves in different was, and in my frustration at being incapable at tying scarves, I came up with this... vest? I sort of love it, the billowy draping and the rococo designs; but I think I'll wait to see how it is received tonight before I put it into permanent rotation in my wardrobe.
So how did it go down? Was the scarf-vest accepted or shunned? I don't mind it, but I really like you in a cravat - you can pull them off like nobody's business, so a slightly missed opportunity in my opinion. Maybe you just thought a cravat was too dated for Fash-Fest? Anyway, loving your fashion fest updates, keep 'em coming! xo - Hollie
